"gmctavish needs more space" (gmctavish)

So after I finally sell the Blazer, and am making more money in a month or two, the plan is to get something unreliable and impractical as a second car, since the Subaru is so reliable and practical.
I’m torn between a 4x4 of some kind, a genuine sports car, a grand tourer, something with a V12 (there’s overlap with grand tourer), or something that’s easy to modify (E30, Volvo 240, etc). This is a strong argument for something with a V12. I would prefer a short wheelbase with a 6 speed, but I’ve only heard of one of those in the area, and never seen it....this is clean enough that I can overlook the long wheelbase.

Mm, dat ass. What needs to be kept in mind, however, is how much my girlfriend likes first gen RX7s, E30s, R107s, and Jag XJSs.....

Oh I love that combo. A friend and I had a shwartz over tan 740i and it was fun for a while. Really needed struts and power steering, but I still loved it.

If you’re going to get a V12, you might as well start with something that’s not running, I.e. It's natural state - https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/567961…

Oh I hadn't noticed that...you're probably right. That would likely be a big headache

E32 750s are on my list too. They rarely come up though... and if they do, they’re either just out of my price range, or trashed and sub 3k

That’s usually the case here too. This one looks to be the odd one out, which of course could mean hidden terribleness

i didn’t think they made the 750s in anything but long wheelbases. i know this is true for the e38 at least.
and a six speed? now that would be a car.

they really do... but for whatever reason, that’s the only model 7 series that does look good in green.

I don’t know if short wheel base E38 750s were a thing, but they definitely were for the E32. I imagine it would’ve been a special order thing, especially with the 6 speed

The E38 doesn’t look too bad in green imo. My neighborhoods from a few years back had one in green with ash interior and I quite liked it. But yeah, the more modern 7ers don’t look too good in green.

Such a good colour, I hope it doesn't sell and maybe gets even cheaper....
